Portsmouth Police deal with alleged assaults, DUIs

PORTSMOUTH — Here are some recent arrests made by the Portsmouth Police Department:

Monday, April 29

Mackenzie P. Bowman, 23, of 646 Bristol Ferry Road, Apt. 2, was charged with domestic assault/battery; and domestic vandalism, resulting in malicious injury to property. Officers responded to Bowman’s apartment shortly before 10 p.m. in response to receiving a disturbing-the-peace complaint. Officers determined there was an active affidavit warrant against Bowman. The victim was a 29-year-old Portsmouth man, police said.

Tuesday, April 30

Kayvan Castellanos, 29, of 646 Bristol Ferry Road, Apt. 2, was charged with domestic assault by strangulation shortly after midnight. Officers responded to his apartment for a followup investigation regarding an overnight domestic incident (see above item). Castellanos was taken into custody based on a local affidavit warrant, police said. The victim was a 23-year-old Portsmouth woman, according to police. 

Thursday, May 2

Kayvan Castellanos, 29, of 646 Bristol Ferry Road, Apt. 2, was charged with violating a no-contact order around 10:30 a.m. after officers responded to his home to investigate a prior domestic incident, police said. The victim was a 24-year-old female, police said.

Friday, May 3

Elyse Josephine Aballo, 21, of 184 Ford Farm Road, Tiverton, was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), first offense, at about 12:40 a.m. Officers stopped Aballo’s vehicle at the Mobile Xtra Mart at 1568 West Main Road after observing it speeding and traveling over the grass curb as it turned into the parking lot, police said. 

Sunday, May 5

Stefanie Marie Andrea, 37, of 100 Benjamin Drive, was charged with DUI, first offense, after being pulled over on Evergreen Drive at Kaitlin Place at about 5:20 p.m. 

After being pulled over on East Main Road at Immokolee Drive at about 10:30 a.m., Grayson James Pina, 19, of 296 Lake Shore Drive, Marston Mills, Mass., was charged with DUI, first offense; and two counts of possession of false identification. Pina was also cited for refusal to submit to a chemical test, place said.
