PORTSMOUTH — It was a fine day to run the bases as Portsmouth Little League Baseball & Softball hosted its Opening Day ceremony Friday at Glen Park.
Dozens of players in uniform gathered for a short parade down to the main field before ceremonial first pitches were thrown by Nathan Rosenzweig and Grace Andreen.
Portsmouth Little League President Sean Stalls offered some remarks as the league hosted giveaways for all participants, who also enjoyed hot dogs, hamburgers and pizza.
