East Providence Democrats meet in candidates forum tonight
Democratic candidates for two General Assembly seats will meet in a Primary Forum this evening, beginning at 5 p.m. The forum will be held on Zoom and broadcast live.
Candidates featured in tonight's event, which is sponsored by the League of Women Voters Rhode Island and the East Bay Media Group, are:
- House District 65: Matthew S. Dawson (D) and San Shoppell (D)
- Senate District 14: Megan S. Duckworth (D) and Valarie J. Lawson (D)
The forums will be broadcast live on Zoom and can be viewed any time between Aug. 23 and Primary Election Day, Sept. 13. A link to the video will be on the League of Women Voters of Rhode Island website, www.lwvri.org.
