    1. Mt. Hope Masqueraders Annual Haunted House @ Mt Hope Masqueraders Annual Haunted House
      5:30 pm – 8:30 pm

      The Mt. Hope Masqueraders Annual Haunted House  is on October 29 and 30th with tours running from 5:30 pm to 8:30pm. It is located at Mt. Hope High School Performing

      Arts Center on Chestunut Street in Bristol, RI.  The entry fee is $5.00 per person which includes the tour and 2 game tickets.  You can choose between a scary and not so scary tour and play

      games to win candy and prizes, have your face painted, or have your fortune told.  Fun for everyone.   Additional tickets for games and a raffle basket will be sold so plan on joining the

      Masqueraders for an evening of fun.  The proceeds go towards the fall production of the play,  Fahrenheit 451 in November. For more information on the theatre department go to

    2. Hunter’s Moon Walk @ Turner Loop Trail parking area
      6:15 pm – 8:15 pm

      Join the East Providence Land Conservation Trust and the Ten Mile River Watershed Council for walk into Bridgham Farm, visiting the Ten Mile River, Turner Reservoir and the Newman Oak, which is said to be over 300 years old.

    3. Barrington Veterinary Clinic’s First Annual Pet Costume Party- CANCELLED @ Barrington Veterinary Clinic
      6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

      This year the Barrington Veterinary Clinic is planning a Halloween Party for your pets!  This FREE event will be starting at 6:30pm, stop by with your ghosts and goblins and have a good time.  There will be treat bags handed out to your children and  for your pooch or kitty as well.  We will be having a Pet Psychic Free of charge (please call to set up a time, space is limited) Dress up your pet in their best costume and get a professional portraits done of them alone or other family members!   Professional Photographer Victoria Arocho will be photographing your pet   www.victoriaarocho.com.  Cost of the session is $30 and she will be donating 10% percentage of the proceeds  to one of our lucky shelters.  Please call to reserve your session with the photographer.  We hope that you all can join us for this event, it should be a spook-tacular time!  Date subject to change so please Call 245-9226 for more details, visit us on the web at www.barringtonvet.com  or our Facebook page for updates on this event !

    2. Panel Discussion: How the Media Impacts the Election @ Roger Williams Unviersity
      6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

      The Roger Williams University HawkTheVote Journalism Media Lab will host local members of the press — including East Bay Newspapers’ General Manager Scott Pickering — in a panel discussion of the impact of news coverage on the electoral process on Tuesday, October 30 at 6 p.m. at Roger Williams University.

      Panelists will include Scott Pickering, general manager of East Bay Newspapers; Dee DeQuattro, political commentator on WPRO News Talk Radio; Bill Rupp, local editor of Barrington Patch; and Marilyn Schairer, general assignment reporter for WPRI-TV and RWU adjunct professor. RWU Assistant Journalism Professor Michael Scully will moderate the discussion.

      The event is open to the public and will be held at 6 p.m. in Global Heritage Hall G01 on the University’s Bristol campus at One Old Ferry Road. No tickets or reservations are required.

      The panel discussion will also be live-streamed on HawkTheVote.com. Follow the journalism media lab students’ election coverage on Twitter with @HawkTheVote and @HawkTheVotenees.

      Please note that the event may be re-scheduled if Hurricane Sandy impacts our area.

      Barrington Public Library’s film lecture series, “Gotta Sing! Gotta Dance!: The Evolution of Movie Musicals,” concludes with a screening of the Academy Award-winner for best picture in 2002. Librarian and film enthusiast Doug Swiszcz will offer pre-film commentary. The movie is rated PG-13.

    2. Halloween Face-Painting
      3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

      Kids are invited to have their faces painted in preparation for trick-or-treating. Miss Denise will use the library’s face-painting crayons, or parents can bring in their own face paints.
