Train Tour of Island’s North End @ Old railroad station
Old Colony & Newport Railway offers one of its limited excursions to the scenic north end of Aquidneck Island. The trains will use the train’s heritage passenger cars, typical of railroad cars that operated on Aquidneck Island at the turn of the 20th century. Uniformed conductors will describe sights along the way and share with riders some history of the area and of the railroad. Roadwork will block Burma Road south of the boarding area for much of the summer, so riders are advised to take Greene Lane west from West Main Road as an alternative to Burma Road.
