We do not accept any type of light bulb or single use disposable batteries, mattresses or any hazardous materials such as paint and firearms.

Indie Cycle, LLC, has a zero landfill policy and we do not remarket any hard drives or data storage devices.  We are an authorized agent and a proud partner of Good Point Recycling, based in Middlebury, Vermont.

      10:00 am – 11:30 am

Join Audubon to design and create a necklace or earrings with fair trade, recycled paper beads. Participants will learn quick, easy techniques to incorporate these eco-friendly beads into fun, creative jewelry. Program includes all materials needed to create your work of art. If you have a special bead or charm you would like to use, bring it along. Advance registration is required as space is limited to 12 participants.

Back by popular demand, instructor Sara Greene returns with a 4-week session for Zumba®.  Join the fun and dance off the stress of the week at the Seekonk Public Library beginning Saturday, October 27th at 10:30 am.

This class is perfect for beginners and anyone wanting to try out this popular and exhilarating dance workout before the holiday feasting begins!  Don’t miss the opportunity to try out the hottest fitness trend for free!

This event is free and open to the public thanks to a sponsorship from the Friends of the Seekonk Public Library.   Registration is required.  Call the library to reserve your space today at (508) 336-8230 or visit www.seekonkpl.org.

    6. Fall Walk at Touisset @ Touisset Marsh Wildlife Refuge
      11:30 am – 2:30 pm

Enjoy an autumn walk through the fields, woodlands, and coast of Touisset Marsh Wildlife Refuge in Warren. You may see ducks on the Kickemuit River, or a lingering heron foraging in Chase Cove. Van departs from powder Mill Ledges Wildlife Refuge in Smithfield at 11:30 a.m. and will stop at the Environmental Education Center in Bristol to pick up participants at 12:15 p.m. before the short drive to Touisset. Bring optics and a lunch to eat in the van on the way. A spotting scope will be available.

    7. Train Tour of Island’s North End @ Old railroad station
      4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Old Colony & Newport Railway offers one of its limited excursions to the scenic north end of Aquidneck Island. The trains will use the train’s heritage passenger cars, typical of railroad cars that operated on Aquidneck Island at the turn of the 20th century. Uniformed conductors will describe sights along the way and share with riders some history of the area and of the railroad. Roadwork will block Burma Road south of the boarding area for much of the summer, so riders are advised to take Greene Lane west from West Main Road as an alternative to Burma Road.

    8. Harvest Supper @ First Baptist Old Stone Church
      5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

The menu will include turkey, corn, peas, squash, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, salad and pie for dessert. If you plan to attend, call the church office. Proceeds will benefit the ministries of the church.
