Man was bleeding badly when police located him

Posted

Barrington police arrested Joseph Braz, 33, of Fairfield, Pa., on a bench warrant issued from Sixth Division District Court.

Mr. Braz was the man involved in an alleged domestic dispute at an Allen Avenue residence on Wednesday, Jan. 3, but when officers responded to the home, Mr. Braz had already fled the scene.

When police went back to the home on Jan. 4 to apprehend Mr. Braz, a woman in the house told them he was not there. She then invited the police officers to check the home.

Police noticed blood on the floor of the home and later found Mr. Braz sitting inside one of the rooms with blood covering his shoe. Police said Mr. Braz had a cut on his ankle.

Officers took Mr. Braz into custody and when they began walking him out of the home, he stumbled and lost balance. Mr. Braz said he was going to bleed out from the cut on his ankle. It was not clear what the warrant was for.
