Warren Town Manager steps down to pursue job with Rep. Gabe Amo

Posted

Warren Town Manager Kate Michaud recently stepped down from her role as the Town’s lead administrator to take a job as the District Director for Rep. Gabe Amo.

The move was not formally announced but was confirmed when the Warren Town Council scheduled a special meeting on Thursday night to choose an interim Town Manager to act in her stead while a full-time replacement was searched for.

During the meeting, the Town Council unanimously appointed Warren Chief of Police, Roy Borges, to be the interim Town Manager.

Michaud had been Warren’s Town Manager since December of 2017, when she was appointed the acting Town Manager following the departure of Jan Reitsma. She had been Warren’s Town Planner prior to that.

Michaud did not immediately return an email or phone call seeking comments on the development.
