Monday, Sept. 18
Damage to a fence on Franklin Street was reported at 9:20 a.m.
Rhode Island Energy was advised after a car struck a telephone pole at Schoolhouse and Birchswamp Roads at 10:11 a.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 19
Graffiti on a playground on Homestead Avenue was reported at 8:28 a.m.
BCWA was advised of a possible water main break near Vernon Street and Metacom Avenue at 8:50 a.m.
A caller reported at 9:20 a.m. that their vehicle had been stolen from a parking lot on Market Street. Providence PD eventually updated at 5:11 p.m. that the car had been found in an impound lot in their city. The owner was notified.
Police intervened on Market Street at 7:29 p.m. following the report that a juvenile was banging on the windows of a shop and harassing the clerk inside.
A Sisson Street resident reported stolen tools at 9:11 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 20
A woman on Metacom Avenue reported a possible stolen package at 10:25 a.m.
A woman reported at 6:57 p.m. that a cyclist had run into her vehicle on Cole Street at around 5:00 p.m., said they were fine, and left the area. She didn’t wish to file a full report.
Thursday, Sept. 21
DPW was advised after a bag was found on Brown Street at 7:49 a.m. The bag was full of clothes and had a machete on top of it.
A Fern Drive resident alerted police of an unregistered four wheeler that operates in the area of Fern, Mayo, and Katie Drives between 1 and 3 p.m. each day. They requested extra patrols during that time.
Warren fire volunteers extinguished a fire on Fatima Drive at 6:06 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 22
A scrupulous woman reported to police she had found $100 in front of a local address on Main Street at 6:45 a.m.
A Central Avenue resident phoned police via 9-1-1 three times at 10:56 a.m. Police learned a curious 2-year-old was the culprit.
An officer assisted stopped traffic near Serpentine and Kickemuit Roads at 4:19 p.m. due to a turtle crossing the road. All amphibians and motorists were okay.
Brendan Barry, 56, of 250 Market St., Apt. #D, Warren, was arrested on a warrant on Market Street at 5:44 p.m. He was charged with two counts of domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery, and disorderly conduct, both first offenses), and driving without a valid license (4th+ offense). He was arraigned and transported to the ACI later that evening.
A Broad Street landlord reported at 7:57 p.m. that a tenant had stolen several items before being evicted.
A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested on Child Street at 10:02 p.m. following an incident reported by an anonymous caller. They were charged with obstructing an officer in execution of duty, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. They were released to the custody of a parent later that evening.
Saturday, Sept. 23
A stolen package was reported on Libby Lane at 8:59 a.m.
Items were reportedly stolen from a vehicle on Federal Street at 11:00 a.m.
Police dispersed a man who was reportedly disturbing the peace on Arlington Avenue at 9:23 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 24
Kenneth LaGrange, 53, of 78 Arlington Ave., Apt. #B, Warren, was arrested at 7:15 a.m. following an incident on Arlington Avenue. He was charged with three counts of domestic violence (criminal violation of a no contact order, simple assault and/or battery, both 3rd+ offenses), and disorderly conduct.
From the same incident above, Heidi Massey, of 78 Arlington Ave., Apt. #B, Warren, was arrested on an active Superior Court Warrant.
A Park Street resident reported at 12:28 p.m. that they had seen an intruder in their yard on camera footage from earlier that morning.
An Arlington Avenue resident reported at 11:48 p.m. that their mother may have stolen their purse at a separate address.
