Warren man banned from Barrington library and St. Andrew's School

Man reportedly caused disruptions at both locations

Posted

An official from St. Andrew's School in Barrington contacted police on Wednesday, Nov. 9, after a former student — a 29-year-old man now living in Warren — stopped by the school and began yelling at staff members.

Officials from the school said the man had been requesting that the school not send any more mail to his home in Warren. Police issued the man a no trespassing order.

Just a day later, the Warren man stopped by the police station to file a complaint against the Barrington Public Library.

But while investigating the situation, police learned that the man had actually been the cause of a problem at the library. An official from the Barrington Public Library told police that the man has had prior problems at the library and has been told by library staff that he needs to behave properly.

Police then banned the man from going to the library for a month.
