Robert K. Hardy, 88, of Warren, died Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Grace Barker Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Ruth ( Hoyt) Hardy.

Mr. Hardy was born in Farmersville, N.Y., a son of the late Clarence and Ella ( Ross) Hardy. He was a refrigeration technician for Agway in New York for many years. He lived in Florida for 37 years before moving to Warren three years ago.

While living in Florida, Mr. Hardy was a member of the Moose Club of Crystal River, where he served for a time as governor of the lodge, and was active with them for over 25 years. Robert enjoyed carpentry and building, and was a master craftsman with wood and tools. He built both of the houses that he and his family lived in.

He was loved by all, and will be remembered for his kindness, gentleness and compassion towards others.

He is survived by his children, Gregg Hardy of Alpine, N.Y., Kathy Belmonte of The Villages, Fla., Gloria Ferguson of Crystal River, and Cheryl Theriault of Warren; a sister, Helen Bellis of Canandaigua, N.Y.; and two nephews. He was the grandfather of 14, the great grandfather of 11, and the great‐great-grandfather of three. He was the father of the late Keith Hardy, and the late Ramona Murphy.

Gifts in his memory may be sent to the Willows Activity Fund or the Grace Barker Activity fund, 54 Barker Ave, Warren RI 02885. Services are private.
