Michael F. Lopes, 66, Warren

Michael F. Lopes, 66, of Warren, RI, passed away, Tuesday, March 30, 2022, at Miriam Hospital, Providence, RI.

He was the husband of the late Rita (Chauvin) Lopes.

Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Joseph S. and Muriel (Cavanaugh) Lopes.

He is survived by a daughter, Sara Lopes; four sisters, Elizabeth Lamonde, Marissa Lopes, Valerie Tavares and her husband James, Myrna Macdougall and her husband Peter; four brothers, Steven Lopes and his wife Denise, Paul Lopes, Peter Lopes and his wife Margaret, and Adam Lopes; three grandchildren, Trinity, Mateo, and Xavier, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late, Joseph J. Lopes.

Michael was a graduate of Warren High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1975-1981, where he served on the USS Dahlgren. Michael will be remembered for his dry sense of humor, as well as his bike riding.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the German Club, located on Kelly Street, Warren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Charity of One’s Choice.

Burial will be private.

Arrangements are by Family’s Choice Cremation.
