Democrat June Speakman has won the House District 68 special election to fill the seat vacated by Laufton Ascencao.
The unofficial count shows Ms. Speakman capturing 40 percent of the votes cast in Bristol and Warren, with Libertarian William Hunt capturing 29 percent, Independent Ken Marshall, the incumbent, capturing 23 percent, and Independent James McCanna III capturing 8 percent.
