Angina Dawyn Driver (Gina), 51, of Warren, R.I., passed away Monday, Dec. 20, 2021, at Hope Hospice in Providence, R.I.

Born in Norristown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late James H. and Donna Lee (Moyer) Driver.

Gina is survived by her loving husband, Pascal Van Rysselberghe of Warren, R.I.; a son, Wayne Driver and his wife Tianna of Newport, R.I.; her four grandchildren, Shantelle-Eve, Finn-Izrael, Camden-Stiles and Greyson-Echo; a brother, Michael Jay Mercado of Suffolk, Va.; and two sisters, Vicki Lynne Transue of Gilbertville, Pa., and Donna Michelle Brooks of Greenville, N.C.

Arrangements are by Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren, RI, where the family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, from 2 to 6 p.m.

Funeral services will held on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at 10 a.m. in Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren, RI.

Burial will take place at St. Mary of the Bay, Vernon Street, Warren, R.I.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
