Amelia M. Notarangelo, 86, of Warren

Amelia M. Notarangelo, 86, of Warren passed away Jan. 2, 2021, at Evergreen House Health Center in East Providence. She was the daughter of the late Antonio and Nora (DArcangelo) Notarangelo. A graduate of Bristol High School, Amelia was born and raised in Bristol, R.I. before moving to Warren 53 years ago.   

Ms. Notarangelo retired from Raytheon Corporation in 1975, where she worked assembling computers. She also worked in various family owned restaurants in the Newport area. At the age of 80, she started her own business, Off the Hook Hats, designing and crocheting colorful hats which she sold at craft fairs throughout Rhode Island. 

Ms. Notarangelo is survived by her devoted son, Michael Notarangelo and his wife, Sherry, of Lebanon Junction, Ky., as well as four cherished grandchildren, Chelsea Sperandio (Stephen,) Zachary Notarangelo, Lucas Notarangelo and Lynne Notarangelo. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, inside Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol, R.I. Burial will be private. The mass will be livestreamed on the “Henry Zinno” Facebook page for those who cannot attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to either Evergreen House Health Center Activity Fund or Hope Hospice.
