To the editor:
After review of the recent July 2016 video of the BCWA board meeting where the meter replacement issue was discussed, many questionable statements were provided to the board to persuade the members to vote in favor of changing the current meter system with one that appears to be favorable only to certain staff members.
If any such staff member intentionally provided mistruths with regard to urging the board to move forward with the new system based on the misinformation provided, those staff members should be investigated and held accountable for their actions. This would include any criminal charges, if found, and termination from their current positions.
The next BCWA board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 25, 2016 6 p.m., which will be held at the BCWA Office located at 450 Child St., Warren. Rate payers are strongly urged to attend this meeting in support of questioning the deliberate and wasteful spending habits at the expense of the consumer. The members of the BCWA board are only able to make responsible decisions based upon factual and reliable information which is presented to them by the staff of the BCWA. When this information becomes tainted and is intentionally misrepresented, the board members cannot act with proper due diligence.
