'World's shortest' St. Patrick's Day parade returns

The "World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade" is coming back, a year after the Kinnane brothers of Adamsville, and their friends, started the tradition. The parade, with libations, corned beef dinner and music to follow, benefits the Little Compton Food Bank.
True to its name, the parade is very short, shorter even than another parade in Hot Springs, Ark. that for 20 years has staked a claim as being the world's shortest.
But Adamsville's route has that beat by at least a foot. This year, like last, it will cover approximately 89 feet, measured from Bill Smith's Main Road property, just west of Route 81, and finishes less than 30 yards to the east, at the Main Road headquarters of the Kinnane Brothers film and movie production company.
The parade steps off at 2 p.m., but that's just the beginning.
At 3 p.m., Guinness cocktail hour, with live music, begins. At 4, organizers will serve corned beef dinner, with Irish music continuing for a few hours.
While the parade is free and open to the public, the cocktail hour and corned beef dinner are ticketed, and all proceeds go to the Food Bank.
