Tiverton man charged with leaving scene of an accident

PORTSMOUTH — Here are some highlights from the Portsmouth Police report from over the past week.

Wednesday, Sept. 18

Peter L. Warburton, 62, of 1043 Old Stafford Road, Tiverton, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, with damaging resulting to another vehicle, and reckless driving/drag racing/eluding police, after being arrested on a warrant in Tiverton at about 11 a.m.

Andy L. Peixoto, 38, of 296 Flint St., Apt. 2, Fall River, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense), after being pulled over for a traffic violation at the Route 24 South weigh station around 7:30 p.m. 

Thursday, Sept. 19

John C. Deburgo, 52, of 1129 Mt. Pleasant St., Apt. 40, New Bedford, was arrested on a 3rd District Court bench warrant after the vehicle he was riding in was stopped for a traffic violation on West Main Road at Raytheon shortly before 1 a.m.

Treca M. Pente, 44, of 221 Plain St., Rehoboth, Mass., was charged with assault after being arrested on a warrant at the police station at about 8:15 a.m.

Andrea M. Miller-Almeida, 37, of 8 Long Meadow Road, was arrested at the police station on a 6th District Court bench warrant around 6:25 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 20

Joseph W. McGee, 31, of 74 Willow Lane, was charged with violating a no-contact order after police responded to a Turnpike Avenue address to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance.

Saturday, Sept. 21

Alan J. Whittaker, 28, of 4 South Drive, was charged with domestic willful trespass, providing false information to a 911 operator and disorderly conduct (making loud/disturbing noise). The arrest was made after police investigated a disturbing-the-peace complaint around 12:25 a.m. at the Cumberland Farms at the corner of East Main Road and Sprague Street.

Anne D. Ayars, 55, of 34 Sisson Pond Road, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over for a traffic violation on West Main Road at Redwood Road around 12:40 a.m. She was also cited for refusing a chemical test, according to police.

Jeana L. DeAngelis, 57, of 100 Blaisdell Ave., Pawtucket, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being stopped for a traffic violation on East Main Road at Martens Road around 8:10 p.m. She was also cited for refusing a chemical test, police said.

Sunday, Sept. 22

Edward Belotte, 22, of 1430 Arndt Place, North Baldwin, N.Y., was charged with driving while intoxicated after being pulled over for a traffic violation on West Main Road at Hedly Street at about 1:25 a.m.

Daniel J. Degirolamo, 19, of 41 Glen St., Mansfield, Mass., was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) following a motor vehicle accident on Bristol Ferry Road shortly before 6 a.m. 

Tuesday, Sept. 24

Ediberto M. Camacho, Jr., 55, of 166 Roosevelt St., Providence, was charged with disorderly conduct (offensive words at another) after police investigated a disorderly conduct complaint in the area of East Main Road and Town Hall around 3:30 p.m.

Carlos A. Pacheco, 42, of 147 Kilburn St., Fall River, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) following a motor vehicle accident in the area of East Main Road and Turnpike Avenue around 10:45 p.m. Mr. Pacheco was also cited for refusing a chemical test, according to police.
