Tiverton launches Covid-19 informational website

TIVERTON -- Tiverton town officials have launched a new website meant to provide the community with the latest information, news and resources regarding the Covid-19 pandemic.

The new website, tivertoncovid19.com, will serve as a resource for residents, visitors and business owners to receive updates as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to develop and the State of Rhode Island moves through its vaccine distribution timeline.

Featured on the site is a COVID-19 vaccination waitlist form for Tiverton residents who are 75 years old and older. Those residents can fill out the form and will be contacted as soon as the Town of Tiverton has vaccine doses available to distribute.

Visitors are encouraged to subscribe via email to receive notifications for new posts. The website is also tied to the Tiverton Fire and Police Department social media accounts, so it will automatically post all content from the blog onto the departments' Twitter and Facebook pages at once, without delay.

The new site features a modern layout, mobile device compatibility and a user-friendly design that contains:

  • Local and statewide COVID-19 vaccination information;
  • Local and statewide COVID-19 vaccination information;
  • The latest public health guidance regarding prevention and quarantining;
  • The latest public health guidance regarding prevention and quarantining;
  • Important information related to COVID-19, including state and federal guidelines and testing information;
  • A news blog;

"We are excited to be launching this website as a central place for residents to find the latest updates regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, local and state regulations, prevention guidance and more," Fire Chief Bruce Reimels said. "We encourage residents to take advantage of the resources on the site, including the vaccination waitlist form for those who are eligible."
