Tiverton girls have no trouble with Burrillville

Katie Phillips led Tiverton scorers with ten points including two from 3-point range Thursday as the Tigers beat visiting Burrillville 46 to 21.

A balanced scoring attack also featured eight points from Rachel Pare, seven each from Aja Caldwell and Lauren Gamache, six from Haley Mendoza, four from Ireland McGreavy, and two apiece from Heidi Kiser and Jane Redden.

Elizabeth Ethier put in nine to lead Burrillville scorers.

Tiverton put this game away early, building a 25-8 lead by halftime. The Tigers outscored Broncos 21-16 in the second half. A dozen Tiverton players got playing time.

The win improved Tiverton’s record to 2-3 (league and overall. Burrillville fell to 3-2 league, 3-4 overall.
