Narrows Center August concerts: The Garcia Project

Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River will be holding a concert series every weekend in August. 

The Garcia Project will be performing on August 5 at 8:00 p.m., with doors opening at 7:00 p.m. The Garcia Project is a nationally touring tribute band to The Jerry Garcia Band. Guests can enjoy full recreations of Jerry Garcia Band setlists from the 1970s-1990s. The band uses replication instruments and production technology to create an authentic experience for audience members and Jerry Garcia Band fans. Tickets are $33 in advance and $35 the day of the show and can be purchased at narrowscenter.showare.com

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
