To the editor:
I appreciate the East Bay Newspaper reporting on varying perspectives but was concerned with the coverage of “anti-mask crusaders” in your Dec. 16 edition (“Parents vs. The State,” East Bay Life section).
Five pages were devoted to reiterating parents' concerns without accompanying contextual data regarding the spread of COVID-19 in our schools and community and without input from health care experts, scientists or public health professionals.
With the concern for spread of misinformation, it is critical that our journalists provide balanced, well-researched perspectives.
