Hurricane Lee swells bring in surfers from all over

Hurricane Lee is tracking well offshore, sparing the Farm Coast much of its wrath. But surfers came out in numbers to South Shore Beach Friday, catching waves that ran as high as eight to 12 feet.

The high surf brought people from all over, including Jaycob Davidson and his friend Jesse, who drove down from New Hampshire to make the most of the weather. Also on the beach were Rachel DeSouza and her friend Toby Koekkoek, who were there to take photos. Rachel is a former Little Compton resident now living in San Diego, but was back for a wedding this weekend.
