Undefeated Eagles knock out East, head to semis

The Barrington High School girls' volleyball team dominated Cranston East in a Division II quarterfinal playoffs match on Thursday night, Nov. 12, winning 3-0.

The Eagles, who finished the regular season undefeated, blasted Cranston East 25-8 in the first game, setting the tone for the one-sided match. Barrington rolled 25-12 in Game 2 and 25-21 in Game 3. The lopsided victory earned Barrington a ticket to the semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 18, where it will face Tolman. The game will be played at Rhode

Island College.

Barrington freshman Maile Somera played well, finishing with nine digs, seven kills and four aces. Molly Sullivan had six kills, five digs and three aces, while Sophia Angelini finished the game with 12 digs.
