Colin Hope scored six goals and Jake Ignall tallied five as the Barrington High School boys lacrosse team defeated Portsmouth 18-7 on Thursday, May 16.
Barrington took a 6-1 lead in the first quarter and led 9-4 at halftime. It was more of the same in the second half, as Barrington expanded its advantage to 13-6 at the end of the third quarter and finished strong with five goals in the fourth quarter.
Other BHS players to score goals were Dylan Edwards and Ben Parylak with two each, and Nick Spaight, Peyton Hillier and Onson Tieu with single goals.
Spaight led the Eagles in assists with five, following by Tieu, who had three assists. Smith, Hope, Parylak and Ignall also assisted on goals.
Luca Rigamonti made nine saves in net for the Eagles, who improved to 6-7 with the win.
