Police: $1,000 worth of tools stolen

A contractor working on a home on Lister Drive in Barrington reported a larceny of tools on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

The contractor told police that many tools were stolen from the site, including a cordless finish nailer, a skill saw, a drill set and charger and Sawzall and charger. Officials estimated the value of the stolen items at $1,000. Police took fingerprints at the site and are still investigating.

Also on Tuesday, Oct. 8, a County Road resident told police someone stole items from her unlocked car while it was parked outside her home. A watcher and wireless speaker — total value was $400 — were allegedly stolen.
