PORTSMOUTH — A 30-year-old Newport man was charged on Friday Nov. 13, with leaving the scene of an accident, with damage resulting to an attended vehicle. 

Middletown Police stopped a vehicle driven by Robert J. Silvia, of 123 Park Holm, around 12:45 p.m. because it was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run accident in Portsmouth on Oct. 10, police said.

Here are some other recent highlights from the Portsmouth Police report:

Thursday, Nov. 12

John M. Faria, 55, of 22 Anthony Way, Tiverton, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense), following a single-vehicle accident in the area of West Main Road at Turkey Hill around 5 p.m. According to police, Mr. Faria was driving a pickup truck that left the roadway, struck a telephone pole and came to a stop after colliding with a fire hydrant. 

Saturday, Nov. 14

Anthony M. Costa, 22, of 542 County St., Apt. 5, New Bedford, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after his vehicle was stopped on West Main Road at Prescott Point around 2 a.m. for multiple moving violations and an inoperable headlight. 

Antonio B. Andrade, 21, of 17 Hendry St., Apt 3, Dorchester, Mass., was charged with driving while intoxicated after being pulled over for a roadway violation on Route 24 North at Freeborn Street around 3:30 a.m. He was also cited for refusing a chemical test.

Sunday, Nov. 15

Lisa M. Fagan, 48, of 22 Maple Drive, was charged with domestic assault after police responded to a report of a domestic argument at her home shortly before 3 p.m. Police said the victim was a 30-year-old woman from Portsmouth.

Malba De Fatim Pertinhes, 54, of 440 Park Ave., was charged with domestic assault around 3 p.m. in connection to an incident at her home the night before. Police said the victim was a 60-year-old man from Portsmouth.

Kayla M. Fagan, 30, of 22 Maple Drive, was charged with domestic assault at about 3 p.m. The victim was a 48-year-old woman from Portsmouth, according to police.

Monday, Nov. 16

Damon A. Millington, 26, of 7 Jean St., Middletown, was arrested on a warrant after his vehicle was pulled over on West Main Road around 4 p.m. because it did not have a front license plate. According to police, Mr. Millington was wanted on a warrant out of Middletown, and police in that town took custody of him.

Joshua E. Reynolds, 32, of 6 West View Road, Middletown, was arrested on a Middletown warrant after police pulled his vehicle over on West Main Road around 4:15 p.m. He was turned over to Middletown Police.

Two men were charged with reckless driving after they were allegedly drag racing and speeding on West Main Road shortly before midnight: Jacob P. Wood, 20, of 112 Belleview Ave., Tiverton; and John V. Martins, 23, of 60 Palmer St. 2, Fall River.

Tuesday, Nov. 17

Jess A. Roderiques, 38, of 518 Turnpike Ave., was arrested at his home on a warrant shortly before 11 a.m. Police said he was warranted by Pawtucket Police, who later took custody of him.
