Here are some recent highlights from the Portsmouth Police reports:
Saturday, March 21
Four juvenile residents of a group home on Bristol Ferry Road were charged with disorderly conduct (fighting/tumultuous behavior) after police were called there shortly before 9:30 a.m. Three of the juveniles were 16, and the other 15, according to police.
Tuesday, March 24
Angela J. Lyons, 40, of 48 Cedar Ave., was charged with domestic assault after police responded to her home at about 9:40 p.m. to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance. Police said Ms. Lyons had assaulted a man at the location.
Wednesday, March 25
Humberto A. Zamora-Flores, 29, of 10B Memorial Road 14B, Somerville, Mass., was charged with domestic assault after a walk-in complaint at about 9:45 p.m. Police said Mr. Zamora-Flores had assaulted a woman at her Portsmouth home.
Friday, March 27
Matthew B. Kenerson, 35, of 026 Pier Road, Prudence Island, was arrested at about 10:30 p.m. on a warrant charging him with domestic assault. Police said the alleged victim was a 58-year-old man from Prudence Island.
Monday, March 30
Christine M. Pereira, 33, of 74 Willow Lane, was charged with domestic assault after police were dispatched to her home at about 5:25 p.m. for a report of a loud disturbance. Police said that when they arrived, they found the alleged victim, a 30-year-old Portsmouth man, with fresh scratches to his face. The two were in an argument before the alleged assault, police said.
John W. Leary, 56, of 63 Clearview Ave., was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after striking another vehicle at the stop light at the intersection of East Main Road and McCorrie Lane around 5:40 p.m., according to police. The driver was speeding and failed to maintain proper lane control before the collision, police said. Mr. Leary was also cited for refusing a chemical test.
