More obstacles planned for Barrington adventure race
Hampden Meadows School Tough Tiger will take place Sunday, May 6
The Hampden Meadows School Tough Tiger is offering more obstacles this year.
The local adventure race covers a 2-mile course, which starts at the school, loops through the nearby neighborhood, the Sowams School campus and along the Hampden Meadows Greenbelt, and finishes back at Hampden Meadows School.
This year there will be 18 obstacles and all are geared toward young families.
The race will be held on Sunday, May 6 — race heats begin at 12:30 p.m. and run through 2:30.
Race organizers have been working hard on the obstacle course challenges and are expecting another large crowd to put their skills to the test. In the past, more than 1,000 people have attended the popular event.
This year there will also be food trucks parked at the school, live entertainment, and raffles. All proceeds from the event benefit the school's PTO.
