Letter: Support for ANTIFA and BLM should be questioned

Posted

This year’s election will be the most important election in our lifetime.

The Democratic Party has remained silent throughout much of the chaos caused by the “peaceful protestors.” Many believe the protests are directed at the American way of life.

What’s even more disturbing is that the local Democratic Party has endorsed candidates that are avowed supporters of ANTIF A and Black Lives Matter. Are you aware that the Bristol Democratic Party has endorsed Bethany Sousa Foster, a known supporter of ANTIFA and BLM?

These are two movements in the general public that every voter needs to be aware of. Who are ANTIFA? What does BLM really believe in? Are you being told the truth about these organizations by the media?

The ANTIFA protestors are a loose collection of groups, networks and individuals who believe in aggression. Countless cities in the USA have been ravaged by vicious acts of violence. Forty-three police officers have been killed in the United State over the past four months, due to escalating tensions.

Similarly, BLM has sanctioned similar atrocities. While many have hailed the raising of BLM flags in our communities, the fact remains that Black Lives Matter is much more than just a group of “peaceful protestors.” BLM proudly proclaims that all black Americans should receive a guaranteed minimum income, free healthcare for all, schooling, real estate, gender assignment surgery, while abolishing all prisons and police departments, as well as eroding the traditional family structure.

Will a progressive Bristol Town Council look to defund the Bristol Police Department?
