To the editor:

I am very much against Starbucks coffee spa moving from their location in the Barrington Mall to the former BP gas station property on County Road.  

Heavy traffic on County Road becomes even more congested from Friday through Sunday when traffic moves from the Wampanoag Trail through the town to Bristol and points south, and again when traffic returns from that area. 

It was reported in The Barrington Times Janet Searles mentioned "Starbucks should consider moving into the Rite Aid property on County Road as that store is closing." I think that is an excellent idea!

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986.
