Posted

Firefighters from Bristol and neighboring towns are on the scene of a fire at the Quinn estate on Poppasquash Road in Bristol. The property is home to the Anthony Quinn Foundation, the late Academy Award-winning actor's widow and family, as well as an art museum and a collection of thousands of pieces of art produced by the acclaimed artist throughout his lifetime.

At 3:07 p.m., Bristol Fire Chief Michael DeMello announced over the radio that the fire is under control.

EastBayRI is on scene and will provide more details as they become available.
