It's apple picking season! That means it's time to make some apple pie. Use this easy vegan apple pie recipe. It's super simple to make — even the kids can make it — and it's delicious, yet healthy.

Best Apple Pie Recipe

Ingredients

1 premade pie crust

7 medium apples

1/4 cup pure cane sugar

1 teaspoon ground flaxseed

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

2. Peel and chop the apples.

3. Add the chopped apples and all other ingredients to a medium sized pot and simmer on low to medium heat, covered, stirring occasionally. Heat for about 15 to 20 minutes, until apples are soft and the mixture is thick enough to become a pie filling.

4. Pour the mixture into your premade pie crust.

5. Heat in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

6. Allow to cool, serve, and enjoy!

Note: Feel free to top with cool-whip or vanilla ice cream for added yumminess.
