Barrington police received a call from someone who said a man was sunbathing nude near the town beach on Friday, June 23.
The call came into the station at 5:23 p.m., and officers arrived at the town beach a short time later. They reportedly spotted a man sitting in a beach chair to the west of the town beach.
Police said the man — a 52-year-old Warren resident — was wearing shorts and a tank top. Officers approached the man, who denied sunbathing nude.
In recent days, other beach-goers have complained about people sunbathing nude near the town beach.
