Monday, April 22
Police assisted a resident dealing with a juvenile at 9:37 a.m. who refused to go to school. They successfully got the child off to school about a half hour later.

A rescue was called to Highlander Charter School on Market Street at 9:42 a.m. after reportedly being “electrocuted from a computer charger.”

Rachael A. Borges, 48, of 60 Franklin St., Apt. #1, Warren, was arrested following an incident on Franklin Street at 8:24 p.m. She was charged with two counts of domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery, and disorderly conduct, both first offenses). She was arraigned and released later that evening.

Tuesday, April 23
Rhode Island Energy was notified after a vehicle struck a telephone pole on Joyce Street at 1:06 p.m.

Robert A. Carson, 40, of 195 Main St., Apt. #1, Warren, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop near Main and Union Streets at 3:56 p.m. He was charged with an active bench warrant from the 6th District Court, driving with an invalid license (4th+ offense), and possession of a schedule I-V controlled substance (first offense). He was later sent to the ACI.

A Hall Avenue resident called police at 4:58 p.m. to report what appeared to be a homeless encampment behind their property. Police observed the area near to Jamiels Park, and made contact with a man, who was advised to remove their belongings. DPW was directed to cleanup the area.

A loose goat was reported near Barton Avenue and Touisset Road at 8:41 p.m.

Wednesday, April 24
A rescue was sent to a Main Street address at 12:04 p.m. after a highly intoxicated person made a request for help.

A Cutler Street resident called police at 1:05 p.m. to report their phone was being “hacked”. Police surmised they were likely just having technical issues.

Christopher R. Desimone, 49, of 134 Durfee St., Fall River, Mass., was arrested following a motor vehicle stop near Main and Franklin Streets at 5:34 p.m. He was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC 0.15 or greater, first offense). He was arraigned and later released.

Thursday, April 25
Police dispersed a woman loitering in front of a property on Metacom Avenue at 3:58 p.m.

Police spoke with two Amazon drivers who generated a noise complaint on Main Street after banging on a door while trying to make a delivery.

Friday, April 26
Warren PD received a BOLO from Barrington at 9:29 a.m. about a man who was wanted on 24-hour domestic charges and operating a Volvo that was later reported stolen from a victim.

Police responded to Aubin Avenue at 3:07 p.m. after a neighbor was aggrieved by a fellow neighbor screwing things into their fence. Police were able to get them to solve the matter civilly.

An undisclosed Water Street business called police at 3:35 p.m. to report a man who had come into the business asking about “gold and silver”, and they were concerned about the man’s demeanor, worried they may return when the shop was no longer open.

Saturday, April 27
Police from Warren, Bristol, and Swansea all looked for an aggressive operator seen speeding southbound on Metacom Avenue around 1:06 a.m. Eventually, at 1:49 a.m., the pursuit was terminated and surrounding departments were notified.

Sunday, April 28
Police responded to Child Street at 10:12 p.m. following a report from a passerby that a man was sitting on his patio yelling at passing vehicle. Police reported he would be headed inside after speaking with him.

Loose cattle were reported across the street from a church at 10:19 p.m. Shortly afterwards the owner was able to corral them back where they belonged.

Police received a report of a stolen truck that was taken from Market Street at 6:55 a.m.
