Three students arrested at Portsmouth High following report of fight

PORTSMOUTH — Three students were were charged with disorderly conduct (fighting/tumultuous behavior) after police responded to Portsmouth High School at about 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13, to investigate a report of an assault.

Two of the students were 16 years old, the other 15, according to police.

Here are some other recent highlights from the Portsmouth Police report:

Wednesday, March 11

Justin L. Henderson, 37, of 90 Girard Ave., Apt. 201, Newport, was arrested on a 2nd District Court bench warrant after a traffic stop on West Main Road at about 9:35 p.m. He was also found to be operating the vehicle without a license, according to police.

Saturday, March 14

David G. Burgess, 52, of 15 Vicksburg Place, Newport, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over for multiple moving violations and an inoperable headlight on West Main Road at Hedly Street at about 1:25 a.m.

Shawn M. Roy, 38, of 3777 County St., Somerset, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over for multiple moving violations on West Main Road at King Charles Drive around 8:45 p.m.

Stephen J. Alix, 18, of 88 Willow Lane, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over around 11:40 p.m. on West Main Road for speeding and lane roadway violations. He was also cited for refusing a chemical test.

Sunday, March 15

Nancy L. Sullivan, 34, of 95 Earl St., Apt. 3, Fall River, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after police spotted her disabled vehicle off the roadway on Route 24 North at Cedar Island just after 2 a.m. She was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test, according to police.

Michael D. Scott, Jr., 38, of 8 J.H. Dwyer Drive, Middletown, was charged with driving after his license had been denied, suspended or revoked (first offense). He was pulled over for a traffic violation at about 7:45 p.m. on Route 24 North at Boyds Lane, police said.
