Portsmouth Police charge several with driving without license

Here are some recent highlights from the Portsmouth Police report:

Friday, Oct. 2

Faleasha E. Manning, 27, of 90 Girard Ave., Apt. 183, Newport, was arrested on a Superior Court full bench warrant after the vehicle she was in was pulled over for a traffic violation on West Main Road at Stringham Road around 10:25 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 3

Craig R. Avila, 45, of 24 Oak Hill Road, Pascoag, was charged with driving without an active license. He was pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 24 North at Boyds Lane around 7 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 4

Jody R. Lancaster, Jr., 31, of 74 Willow Lane, was charged with violating a no-contact order after police responded to Willow Lane around 10:30 p.m. to investigate a report of suspicious activity.

Monday, Oct. 5

Eric T. Butler, 31, of 42 Park St., Apt. C4, Pawtucket, was charged with driving without an active license (third and subsequent offense), after being pulled over for a traffic violation on West Main Road in front of Bayview Apartments shortly before 1 a.m.

Josephine G. Rowden, 37m of 101 Union St., Bristol, was arrested on a bench warrant issued from 6th District Court after the vehicle she was in was stopped for a traffic violation on Bristol Ferry Road at Brownell Lane at about 4 p.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 6

Aaron Chaney, 57, of 850 Douglas Ave., Providence, was charged with driving without an active license (third and subsequent offense) after being pulled over for a traffic violation on West Main Road in front of Bayview Apartments around 1:25 a.m.

Matthew L. Miranda, 35, of 157 Angell Ave., Cranston, was charged with driving without an active license after being stopped for a traffic violation on West Main Road at West Passage Drive shortly before 8 a.m.
