Portsmouth High girls cruise past Rogers, 52-29

PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High School varsity girls’ basketball team had no problem handling island rival Rogers in a non-league game Friday night. 

The Patriots cruised, 52-29, and were led by sophomore Kylie Swider’s game-high 22 points.

It was Portsmouth’s second victory over Rogers in a little over a week. The Patriots beat the Vikings, 59-46, on Dec. 29 during the Barrington Booster Holiday Tournament.

Senior co-captain Gabby DeComo scored 13 points and another senior co-captain, Liliana Kenyon, added seven.

The Patriots are now 1-3 in Division I Central and 6-3 overall.
