PORTSMOUTH — Bishop Hendricken is in a different league than Portsmouth High, and the Hawks proved it Friday night.
In a non-league matchup which served as the home opener for the Patriots, the Division I Hawks manhandled the Patriots, who are in Division II-B, by a score of 55-7.
Portsmouth is now 0-1 in the league and 0-3 overall.
The Patriots will try to post their first win against South Kingstown at JFK Memorial Stadium at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29.
After that they’ll travel to face Shea for a 6 p.m. game on Friday, Oct. 6.
