DWIs, obstruction charges top Portsmouth Police reports

PORTSMOUTH — Here are some highlights from the Portsmouth Police report from over the past week.

Monday, July 22

Kevin D. Duhaney, 41, of 141 Beacon St., Apt. 2, Newport, was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) and obstructing an officer in execution of duty after being pulled over for a traffic violation on West Main Road at Twin Lantern Cabins around 2:15 a.m. Mr. Duhaney was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test.

Keith Lawrence, 42, of 49 Alder St., Medway, Mass., was charged with violating the town’s noise ordinance after police responded to Ferreira’s Package Store on East Main Road to investigate a complaint of a town ordinance violation.

Tuesday, July 23

Zachary F. Ferguson, 25, of 140 Spring Lake Road, Glendale, was arrested on a warrant charging him with attempted breaking and entering at about 11 a.m.

Matthew T. Palasky, 30, of 337 New York Ave., Apt., Providence, was charged with driving after his license had been denied, suspended or revoked. He was pulled over for a traffic violation on Turnpike Avenue at Gorton Street around 11:10 p.m.

Thursday, July 25

Raymond C. Adams, 27, of 5A Spur Road, Foster, was arrested on a 3rd District Court bench warrant after the vehicle in which he was riding was stopped for a traffic violation on West Main Road at Stringham Road around 9:20 a.m.

Lorie J. Almeida, 50, of 249 J.T. Connell Highway, Newport, was charged with violating a no-contact order and obstructing an officer in execution of duty after the vehicle in which she was riding was pulled over for a traffic violation on West Main Road at the Middletown line around 7:20 p.m.

Friday, July 26

Scott E. Bruneau, Jr., 25, of 25 Maggie Lane, was charged with driving after his license had ben denied, suspended or revoked. He was pulled over for a traffic violation on Turnpike Avenue at Freeborn Street just before 2 p.m.

Lisa M. Murray, 64, of 52 Hedly St., was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle accident on East Main Road at Union Street just before 4 p.m. Ms. Murray was also cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test, police said.

Saturday, July 27

William Y. Davenport, 37, of 211 Purchase St., Middleborough, Mass., was charged with driving while intoxicated (first offense) after being pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 24 North at Freeborn Street around 1:40 a.m. Mr. Davenport was also charged with obstructing an officer in execution of duty and driving with a suspended license, and was cited for refusing a chemical test.

Nixida M. Cruz, 28, of 210 Middleboro Ave., Apt. 2, East Taunton, Mass., was arrested on a 2nd District Court bench warrant after the vehicle in which she was riding was stopped for a traffic violation on West Main Road at John Street around 6:40 p.m.

Sunday, July 28

Orentso B. Phillip, 65, of 102 Niagara St., Apt. C2, Middletown, was charged with violating a no-contact order after the vehicle in which he was riding was pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 24 North at Boyds Lane just after midnight.

Daniel Pedro, 50, of 16 Harrington Ave., was arrested on two 2nd District Court bench warrants after police responded to the area of Harrington Avenue and Harris Avenue around 4 p.m.

Monday, July 29

Peter M. Pilat, 33, of 11 Lock Lane, was charged with domestic vandalism with malicious injury to property, and domestic disorderly conduct, after police investigated a report of a domestic disturbance at his home around 6:20 a.m.

Adolfo Ambrocio, 33, of 67 Andem St., Apt. 1, Providence, was charged with driving without a license after being pulled over for a traffic violation on Route 24 South at Sprague Street shortly before 8 a.m.
