The unbeaten run to start the 2026 season for the Mt. Hope High School boys' soccer squad continued to open the last week of action after the Huskies defeated host St. Raphael, 4-2, in a Division II encounter in Pawtucket Tuesday, Sept. 15.

The locals improved to 3-0-2 at the time. Tom Levis, Cyrus Belisle-Braun, Gavin Avila and Nuno Marcos Caetano scored the goals. Levis and Michael Komorowski each had an assist. Andrew Vieira was credited with seven saves.

Girls' soccer
The MHHS girls' soccer club saw its recent three-match winning streak come to an end to start last week, the Huskies falling by a 4-2 count at home against Lincoln on September 15.

Sarah Nencka netted both of the goals for the locals. Maya Goglia and Brooke Avila had the assists. Keeper Moira Ware was credited with four saves.

Girls' volleyball
The MHHS girls' volleyball squad picked up its second victory of the 2026 season, a 3-0 win over visiting Chariho Tuesday night, Sept. 15.

The Huskies won by the scores of 25-15, 25-22, 25-12. Setter Hayden Sylvia assisted on 18 points and had three digs for the locals. Gianna Soares had 21 digs and four service aces. Margaret Thorp had six kills, three aces and two digs.

Girls' tennis
The MHHS girls' tennis team opened last week with a loss to The Lincoln School, 7-0.

Hazel Bradley played the closest of the singles matches for the Huskies, dropping a 6-0, 7-6 (7-3) decision at the three spot. Also from the third position, the duo of Lily Parisi and Kayla Sousa lost 6-0, 6-0 in doubles.
