Tiverton police searching for missing girl

Tiverton police need help locating a 16-year-old girl who has been missing since last week. Avah Victoria Flower was last seen by her mother on the evening of Friday, March 31. She may be wearing a grey rain jacket, black pants and light colored shoes, and may be carrying a grey or black duffle bag. She is approximately 5'7", 155 pounds, brown eyes, and straight long brown hair with blonde highlights. Police said she could be in the Fall River area.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Lieutenant Brendan McKinnon or Sergeant Ryan Huber at (401) 625-6717.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far.
