Warren Holiday Festival kicks off on Friday

The Warren Holiday Festival is gearing up for another year of seasonal joy, with committee chair Elwood Donnelly reporting that everything is ready to go for the two evenings of festivities on Friday, Nov. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 25.

This year, Donnelly said that there will be some notable changes, including the addition of the Very Merry Dickens Carolers to stroll Main Street during the Friday event, as opposed to only being seen during Saturday’s event in previous years. He said that the East Bay Interfaith Association would be hosting a Flags for Peace crafting opportunity at the Baptist Church in Warren on Saturday. The South County Rounders, a folk/bluegrass foursome, will add ambiance to the Warren Masonic Lodge on Baker Street.

Donnelly was most excited about the boost in donations received this year, enabling them to give out more prizes to those who finish the storied scavenger hunt, where a stamp is earned from finding and visiting nine locations around town and handing a completed map in to any festival volunteer.
