#VoteBowTieGuy is much catchier than #VoteMunicipalLawGuy. However, people often ask me why I decided to run. I am running because I want Warren to succeed. Each decision made by the Town Council has a lasting effect on the town’s future, and I believe the Town Council is missing expertise on the issues I’ve made my life’s work: taxes, infrastructure, schools and budgets.
I am running for Town Council because I have spent years working with municipalities to negotiate contracts, review ordinances and discuss budgetary issues, and I want to have the opportunity to do this work for Warren. I will bring experience, energy and critical thinking to every Town Council meeting, and Warren will benefit from having a legal-minded Town Councilor who understands the legal options and risks of every decision. This is why I run.
Keith Phillis
Democratic candidate for Warren Town Council
