Thibaudeau: A School Committee Member’s Responsibility to Warren Residents

Posted

There are a lot of aspects of being on the school committee but one area that doesn’t get much attention is their responsibilities to the people of our town. While educating students is the number one priority there is more to the job that needs to be addressed.

These responsibilities include
Spending of tax dollars as efficiently as possible to maximize the percentage of money spent DIRECTLY on classroom education.
We have to make education affordable to control our tax base so our children can have the opportunity in the future to live in Warren.
Establish an ongoing relationship with Town Council members and the Town Manager. We need to create a much better working relationship between the Town of Warren and the schools.
Strongly advocating for resources and fighting inequities for Warren’s students.

Chuck Thibaudeau
Candidate for Bristol Warren Regional School Committee
