Edward S. Jerome, 94, Tiverton

Edward S. Jerome, 94, of Tiverton, died Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Newport Hospital. He was the husband of Betty E. (Rose) Jerome.

Born in Tiverton, son of the late Antone and Catherine (Fernandes) Jerome, he was a lifelong resident of Tiverton.  A veteran of World War II, he served his country in the United States Army.  Mr. Jerome was the owner/operator of Sin and Flesh Farm in Tiverton.  He enjoyed fishing, planting and gardening.

Including his wife, survivors include two sons, Stephen E. Jerome of Tiverton and John A. Jerome of Tiverton; a daughter, Elizabeth Belisle of Fall River; two sisters, Ruth Bento of Tiverton and Catherine Dennis of Indiana; three grandchildren, Gregory Jerome, Mya Jerome and Ava Jerome; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late John, Joseph, Francis, Paul and Mary Jerome and Rita Morris.

His Mass of Christian Burial, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be Saturday, September 29, at St. Christopher's Church, 1554 Main Road, Tiverton, at 10 a.m. Calling hours Friday, 4-7 p.m. at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road Westport. Interment in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton.
