Westport nomination papers ready soon
Planning on running for public office in Westport next year? Nomination papers for the April 12, 2022 annual town election will be available Monday, Jan. 3, at town hall. The following seats are available:
Three-year terms: One Selectman, one moderator, one assessor, one Board of Health, two school committee, one fish commissioner, two trustees of the Free Public Library, one landing commissioner, and one commissioner of Trust Funds.
Five-year term seats are one planning board and one housing authority.
The deadline to obtain nomination papers is 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9. The deadline for submitting them to the board of registrars is Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 5 p.m.
