Warren police logs: Man charged with domestic offenses

Monday, Jan. 7
Police were asked to check on the well-being of a horse on Market Street.
Police received a complaint from Market Street about a customer who did not return a rental item.
A caller complained about kids that play in the road at Brady and Child streets every day after school, and don’t get out of the way for cars. Police spoke to them but were called back again the next day on a similar complaint.
A Child Street woman complained about being harassed by a man from whom she is separated.
Tuesday, Jan. 8
A caller from Overhill Road reported a deer that might have been injured. Police looked for the animal but could not locate it.
Wednesday, Jan. 9
A caller from Kickemuit Middle Schoolrequestedan officer for an altercation between two students.
A loud music complaint came in from Metacom Avenue. Police found nothing amiss.
Police got a call about a man holding a torch while riding a bike down Market Street. Police looked for him with no results.
Thursday, Jan. 10
A caller complained about an erratic driver on Main Street.
Friday, Jan. 11
Police were asked to help keep the peace during an eviction on Davis Street.
A caller complained about two teenagers sitting in a car on Main Street with no adult present.
A walk-in reported seeing someone pulling a dog by its leash on Child Street.
Saturday, Jan. 12
Joseph D. Valentine, 48, of 390 Metacom Ave., first floor, was charged with domesticismple assault/battery, obstruction of an officer, resisting arrest and domestic disorderly conduct, after a caller told police that he had received a call from his mom, who told him she was in danger.
Someone vandalized a car parked on Third Street, a caller told police.
Police got a complaint from a Sachem Road resident, who said that hunters were too close to the residence.
A caller told police that her mother and father received a large amount of cash in the mail, and she believes it is counterfeit. Police checked it out: The “money” was an advertisement from an online shopping site.
A caller from Luther Street reported an unruly juvenile throwing items around the house.
Sunday, Jan. 13
A Market Street resident reported being harassed by a former tenant.
A Child Street man called to report an argument between his daughter and her mother.
