Warren PD made two arrests, looked for brazen weed smokers, and investigated two reports of public urination between July 24-31, 2023.

Warren PD: Two arrests and two public urinators

Monday, July 24
A woman came into police HQ at 5:03 p.m. and indicated that a man may have taken her ID and used it to open fraudulent accounts.

Louis C. Callei, 36, of 135 Water St., Apt. #1st, Warren, was arrested by Pawtucket PD on a warrant on Roosevelt Avenue in that city at 5:45 p.m. He was charged with two counts of domestic violence (vandalism and disorderly conduct, both first offenses). He was transported to Warren, arraigned and transported to the ACI later that evening.

A caller on Metacom Avenue reported that the McDonalds sign had a “strobe” effect occurring, which could be a hazard to vehicles. The manager said they were aware of the issue and were working on getting it fixed.

Tuesday, July 25
Fire personnel were called to the Coffee Depot at 6:34 a.m. for the odor of natural gas. The owner said they would be addressing the gas stove in the facility.

Alerts were sent to Bristol and Barrington police departments after a caller claimed to witness a white Dodge Ram truck strike two vehicle mirrors on Water Street around 12:23 p.m.

A caller reported a golf cart was traveling on Touisset Road at 12:51 p.m.
Police dispersed a panhandler from the area of Main and Child Streets at 6:27 p.m.

Wednesday, July 26
A woman on Main Street reported at 3:55 a.m. that someone had taken her registration from her vehicle, however she said she would check to see if she had left it with a mechanic who had done some recent work on the car.

Police looked for people reportedly operating golf carts on Maple Road at 12:42 p.m. but they were gone when they showed up.

Police dispersed a person who was reportedly sleeping in their vehicle on Miller Street for “several” nights.

Thursday, July 27
Ammunition was found on the bike path near Asylum Road at 12:00 p.m. and was brought into police headquarters. An officer went out to the area to look for more but didn’t find any.

A caller on Metacom Avenue reported at 5:04 p.m. that their daughter had been sexually assaulted by an adult male.

DPW was informed of missing street signs on Pennsylvania Avenue at 6:05 p.m.

Friday, July 28
A Haile Street resident reported someone had been urinating in public at 11:01 a.m.

A Terrace Avenue resident reported having packages stolen at 11:48 a.m.
A Metacom Avenue resident reported that a neighbor had stolen a package intended for them at 7:11 p.m. The package was ultimately located.

Saturday, July 29
A rescue was requested for a bicyclist who was reported to have fallen down near Franklin and Main Streets at 7:43 a.m.

The animal control officer transported an injured bird from Cutler Street to a wildlife rehabilitation facility at 9:09 a.m.

A tire was reportedly slashed on Water Street at 10:35 a.m.

Police looked for people who were reportedly openly smoking marijuana on Water Street at 11:53 a.m. but they were gone when they arrived.

A rescue was requested for another fallen bicyclist at 4:35 p.m. near Main and Campbell Streets.

Brandon Seuasoukseng, 31, of 12338 Park Ridge Trail, Fort Worth, Tex., was arrested following a motor vehicle stop near Main and Haile Streets at 7:17 p.m. He was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a breathalyzer. He was arraigned and released later that evening.

A tree branch was obstructing the southbound lane of Main Street at 9:10 p.m.

Sunday, July 30
Kids on golf carts were reported on Stonegate Road at 7:37 p.m.

A caller reported someone publicly urinating on Main Street at 9:03 p.m. but couldn’t give a description of the person to police.
