Police looked for a young child operating a motorized bike on the bike path near Child Street at 11:15 a.m. but didn’t locate anyone in the area.

A man reported narcotics activity occurring at a Child Street address at 1:02 p.m. but nobody answered the door when police checked.

Police checked on a tent in a wooded area of Wood Street at 5:29 p.m. that displayed signs of someone living there. They found documentation of someone but nobody was there at the time.

More tents were found at the Wood Street campsite at 8:20 p.m.

Tuesday, Aug. 15
An aggressive panhandler was reported on Water Street by a member of the Fire Department at 3:14 p.m.

Wednesday, Aug. 16
Police looked for a group of people being noisy and loitering on Water Street at 3:22 a.m. but they weren’t in the area when they showed up.

A man who was having an issue with his keys at his Metacom Avenue residence caused enough of a stir to generate a noise complaint at 6:26 p.m. There was no further issue.

Loud singing through an open window on Liberty Street generated a noise complaint at 10:16 p.m.

Warren units responded to Bristol for a disturbance in that town at 11:35 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 17
Police arbitrated the peaceful return of golf equipment between a pair of ex-lovers at 10:06 a.m. on Market Street.

A Broad Street resident reported at 11:15 a.m. that documents may have been stolen from their home.

Police restored peace on Davis Street at 3:31 p.m. after a neighbor logged a complaint concerned a juvenile might damage their car with a ball. No further issues were reported.

An officer was flagged down near Joyce and Cole Streets at 3:56 p.m. and received a report that landscaping equipment had been stolen from the person’s vehicle. The complainant later informed police he had found the missing tools.

Dean Couture, 52, of 6 Kathleen Dr., Warren, was arrested following an incident on Kathleen Drive at 10:07 p.m. They were charged with three counts of domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery, disorderly conduct, and refusal to relinquish/obstructing a telephone, all first offenses). They were arraigned and released early the following morning.

Friday, Aug. 18
A mailbox was reportedly damaged on Schoolhouse Road at 8:26 a.m.

RIDOT responded to Metacom Avenue and Vernon Street at 9:36 a.m. to re-seat a lifted manhole cover.

A Long Lane home reported water damage at 10:52 a.m.

Police looked into a report of abandoned baby bunnies on Cutler Street at 11:13 a.m.

Significant flooding was reported near Main Street and Village Road at 11:35 a.m. RIDOT and the Bristol County Water Authority were notified.

A Child Street resident reported that their ex had been threatening them at 1:13 p.m.

Police assisted an elderly motorist at 1:56 p.m. They had been unable to turn down the radio in their new car.

Jayson Miranda, 26, of 3 Asylum Rd., Warren, was arrested following an incident on Asylum Road at 3:34 p.m. He was charged with three counts of domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery, vandalism, and disorderly conduct, all first offenses). He was arraigned and released later that evening.

Vandalism was reported on Child Street at 4:27 p.m.

Police advised neighbors who were having an ongoing dispute on Market Street at 9:21 p.m. This incident involved one man spraying a garden hose at his windows.

Saturday, Aug. 19
A Vernon Street resident reported their dog had attacked and killed a ground hog at 2:13 p.m.

Graffiti was reported on playground equipment on Homestead Avenue at 6:40 p.m.

Warren EMTs transported a woman to the hospital who had passed out after being observed as “heavily intoxicated” at 8:56 p.m. on Sowamsett Avenue.

Sunday, Aug. 20
Tear Cruz, 41, of 27A Asselin St., Apt. #3, Warren, was arrested following a disturbance reported on Asselin Street at 12:52 a.m. She was charged with two counts of domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery, and disorderly conduct, both first offenses). She was arraigned and released later that morning.

Police broke up a loud cookout on Davis Street at 1:30 a.m. that had stretched into the early hours.

A passerby near Vernon and Main Streets reported at 7:51 p.m. that a vehicle had struck a RIPTA bus. The bus then reportedly kept driving. Authorities were able to make contact with the bus driver, who agreed to stop in Barrington.
